The rest of the senior staff comes to attention as you walk in.

"Greetin's Commander. Such was my impressment with yer last performance that I judge it time to reveal the purpose of my, uh, purpose in contacting you.

I come to yah now, hopin' you'll see yer way to assistin' me with a little predicament. Some time now, Vance Rezak has been runnin' the Band of the Damned into the ground. We been raidin' the Combine fer years wit' but a pittance to show fer it, while Vance spends all our hard-earned scratch on "spies" and "intelligence.

Thusly, myself and a few associates come to the conclusion of requirin' a new management team. That's where you come in. A legitified merc company makes a great cover fer all manner a doin's."

Response 1: "Let's say we agreed to this. What's in it for us?"

"Why a lordship a'course! Whoever runs the Damned is the full-fledged pirate lord and prince of Rezak's Hold! Makin' yo lord helps with the legitimism, see? On top, we'll be givin' you a regular proper share, a real princely tribute."

Response 2: "Fair enough. How would this takeover work?"

"Well, I know you got chops, but the rest of the crew don't. Yer gonna need to complete a few more "special" contracts fer me. Impress the rest of the Damned, make some scratch, and we go from there."

Response: "Very well. We'll be in touch, Roberts."
