Legacy/Rising Star
Description
The Legacy was produced as a testbed for newer technologies, including the Ultra AC/10 and C3i Computer, at the request of Word of Blake Precentor Martial Cameron St. Jamais. Its thick armor protection, standard fusion engine, and CASE give the Legacy remarkable staying power on the battlefield. One of the weaknesses of the 'Mech is its slow speed compared to other 'Mechs of similar size, but the inclusion of jump jets sought to counter that with superior maneuverability. The main guns on the Legacy are its twin UAC/10s, which are backed by 2 ER Medium Lasers, 1 ER Small Laser, and a Streak SRM-4 for good measure.
Bonuses
Mech Quirk: Stabilized Weapon - All
-3 recoil with all weapons
Pilot Affinity: Nimble
15% more jumping distance
Factions
- Word of Blake
- Word of Blake
- 40th Shadow Division
- 9th Division III-Gamma

Description
The Rising Star is a little-known and oft forgotten Star League Defense Force assault mech, discontinued by the SLDF due to mediocre performance in combat. The Rising Star was so unloved by the SLDF that Kerensky did not even take any on the Exodus and thus it never appeared among the Clans. ComStar discovered some Rising Stars in a mothballed warehouse and, after correcting the electronics issues that plagued the mech and caused it to be discarded, put them back into service. The Word of Blake also used the Rising Star as the model for the Legacy. The Rising Star uses twin AC/10s, twin Medium Lasers, a Small Laser, and a SRM-4 for no-frills firepower.
