Description
In need of a symbol of national pride to rally around in the face of invasion, the Taurian military command ordered the venerable and proven Talos design to be fully reworked into a new 70 ton heavy trooper mech. To ensure the mechs could be deployed as quickly as possible, Vandenberg MilTech used as many commonly available and battle tested technologies as possible. The Talos II -5T was the first, carrying an AC/10, an LRM-10, two SRM-4's, and two small lasers. 12 single heat sinks, a 280 standard engine, and 13 tons of armor make this mech a cheap and dependable general purpose design.

Description

As damaged -5Ts returned from the front for repair and maintenance, most were refit into -5T1 variants to utilize modern technologies. Built around a light 280 fusion engine with 10 double heat sinks, the -5T1 replaces the autocannon with an LB-X version and carries an LRM 10 and SRM 4 in each side torso with C.A.S.E. protecting its 5 tons of ammunition. The arm mounted small lasers remain.

Description

As damaged -5Ts returned from the front for repair and maintenance, some were refit into -5T2 variants to aleviate the dependency on munitions based weaponry. To do so, it carries an ER large laser and a flamer in each arm, and replaces its missile compliment with four streak SRM-4s with two tons of ammo in C.A.S.E. protected bins. The mech is powered by a light 280 fusion engine and installs 15 double heat sinks.
