Based on the relatively new CDA-3M chassis, it fields a slightly larger VOX 330 engine as opposed to the 3M's Pitban 320. The weapons loadout has also been altered, turning the X5 into an incredibly quick and deadly skirmisher with more than twice the firepower of the original 2A. Unfortunately, the greatly increased cost of construction and an occasionally-flaky experimental SRM ammunition feed led to a variant with literally no buyers. This one is a little banged up, apparently from falling out the back of a Leopard during transport, but can be incredibly deadly in the hands of a pilot that can handle its speed. |
