Description

Originally designed as an OmniMech, the Argus was developed in a joint venture between Achernar BattleMechs and Robinson Standard BattleWorks and was originally rejected by the AFFC citing cost of production. Achernar and Robinson modified the 'Mech and resubmitted it as a standard BattleMech that was quickly picked up by the AFFC. Powered by a 300 XL engine and built with Endo-Steel construction, the Argus is a versatile chassis. The AGS-2D is the original model, armed for a ranged stand-off, carrying a pair of Artemis IV-enabled LRM-15s for bombardment while an ER PPC provides direct-fire punch.

Description

Once the AFFS could accept the Magshot Gauss Rifle into production, the brass found itself with a weapon in need of a platform. The Argus AGS-3M was born of that need. Armed with a massive six Magshots, the Argus proved the perfect platform for the weapons. However, the designers were given a little too much latitude with the rest of the mech's systems and after a few greased palms the -3M was put into service. The backup weapons for the Magshots turned out to be a pair of Thunderbolt-10 launchers and a solitary ER Large Laser. While the missiles proved effective, supply issues often meant the -3M was immediately refit upon reaching the front lines.

Powered by a 300 XL engine and built with Endo-Steel construction, the Argus is a versatile chassis. The AGS-4D is the primary production model, armed for all ranges, with a LRM-10 at long range, a RAC/5 at middle ranges, and a pair of ER Mediums and a Machine Gun up close.

Description

This gladiator got its name from the fans as the original owner called it something else entirely. However, they understood the power of good publicity and decided to give in to the fans on this one and rechristened the 'Mech with its new name, Dance Floor, named for the light shows it puts on in the arenas. Armed with a trio of exotic Large Pulse Lasers as well as two Medium X-Pulse Lasers, Dance Floor never fails to put on a great show for the viewers. The rest of the design is depressingly mundane: Inner Sphere XL Engine, Endo-Steel, Ferro-Fibrous, and Double Heat Sinks.
