More than 800 of these were in service when the Star League fell and the Succession Wars were not kind to the mech. Thin ammo bins, expensive components, and poor backup weapons led to the Bombardier's general extinction in the IS, before being brought back in the 3050s. Armed with a pair of LRM-20s with 6 total turns of fire and carrying a lone SRM-4 for backup, the 12 tons of armor and the AMS system were not enough to give the Bombardier longevity on the field.
