| Details | The Ymir is the first homegrown Lyran Commonwealth BattleMech. Then-known as the Bipedal Weapon Platform, the Ymir first saw action in 2462 and was roughly based on a slimming of the Mackie's basic frame. While primitive by modern standards, the Ymir eventually grew into a capable, fast, agile assault mech in its own right.
