Description
Designed by VEST before the production model V4-LNT-K7, the -K5 served as the testbed prototype. After the -K7 met with a lukewarm reception from buyers, the -K5 was put onto the market for Periphery buyers who might have an interest in a cheap but fast skirmisher. The Valiant-K5 is downgraded to almost standard Succession Wars technology, with a trio of Medium Lasers and a pair of Small Lasers for armament. In the arms are the expected Hatchet and the one piece of advanced tech: a Small Shield for added protection. Additionally, 1 more ton of armor has been mounted. The -K5 achieves these savings by slowing down a little from what the -K7's speed is.

Description
The Valiant was developed by Vining Engineering and Salvage Team, one of the many weapon manufacturers on Solaris VII, at the behest of Irian BattleMechs Unlimited. Based on the Scarabus, the Valiant was conceived as a light skirmisher. As a fast skirmisher, the Valiant wields only three ER Medium Lasers and its Hatchet. The configuration's lack of ammo dependency is perhaps the characteristic that potential buyers are most interested in.

Description
A Kuritan version of the Valiant, the V4-LNT-L2 is a mobile missile platform that uses high speed to bring its bevy of weapons to bear. Powered by a 210-rated XL Engine and clad in Heavy Ferro-Fibrous armor, the -L2 carries a LRM-10 as its primary ranged firepower. For close-range work, it carries a pair of SRM-2s and a pair of ER Small Lasers. The mech also carries almost the max armor the frame can bear.

Description
A variant of the Valiant designed by a Davion Crucius March military command, the V4-LNT-L7 leans on the Davion love of ballistics for its firepower. It is the slowest Valiant in wide production, with a mere 150 rated Light Engine, and is built on an Endo-Steel chassis. It carries the standard ER Medium Lasers, but replaces the Hatchet with a Light Autocannon/5 in the left arm and carries a pair of Heavy Machine Guns in the right arm for close-range work. The -L7 also carries almost as much armor as the frame can carry.

Description
Designed at first for the Solaris arenas, the Valiant V4-LNT-M4 eventually found its way to the open market. Armed with the Hatchet and ER Mediums of its progenitor, the -M4's engine has been downrated and its armor has been upgraded to Heavy Ferro-Fibrous. With this free tonnage, the -M4 carries a pair of Mortar/2s, usually loaded with Inferno and Suppressant ammo to mess with enemy heat systems. While not a huge arena success, it found a strong following in the Periphery states, most of whom snapped up the -M4 for general use.

Description
An almost-strictly arena variant of the Valiant, the V4-LNT-M6 is a close-range design meant to weather fire and end enemies with its massive Mace. Other than the mech's Mace and Small Shield, it carries only a pair of SRM-4s for ranged firepower. Thanks to an XL engine, the mech is still incredibly fast and can close the distance easily. It also carries more armor than the stock Valiant, which helps it close to point blank for the Mace to do its work. The double heat sinks are almost an afterthought, as they're not particularly necessary.
