Description

While Demi-Precentor Michelle Lei reportedly used the A variant of the Avatar, unconfirmed reports indicate that her machine was instead highly customized using cutting edge technologies. Fittingly, it has been recreated for the arenas of Solaris VII and given the name 'Acid Trip'. Armed with a trio of uniquely customized Large Lasers and a pair of rather pedestrian Streak SRM-6s, Acid Trip is a potent warrior in the arenas.

Description

The first of the Inner Sphere OmniMechs to be conceptualized and one of the last to reach production by the Draconis Combine as part of its 'first generation', the Avatar's design is based on captured Vulture OmniMechs.

Description

Focused on close combat, the A configuration carries an ER Large Laser as its only long range weapon. Mounting a pair of SRM-6 launchers, an Autocannon/20 and the two Medium Lasers mounted on the base chassis, the Avatar A is a fearsome opponent with devastating close range punch. It also has two jump jets in each leg.

A fire support variant, the B configuration carries two LRM-15 racks and two LRM-10 racks. These are all mated to an Artemis IV Fire Control System. The only short range weaponry on the B configuration consists wholly of the two Medium Lasers mounted on the base chassis.

Description

The C configuration carries a C3 Master Computer into battle, allowing the Avatar to act as the central node of a C3 lance. The C configuration attempts to keep enemies at arms length with a PPC and Ultra Autocannon/5 supported by a pair of LRM-10 launchers. The Avatar C protects itself at short ranges with its two hard mounted Medium Lasers.

Description

Designed by the Draconis Combine to serve as the centerpiece of C3 equipped divisions, the Avatar-OC3 carries a unique C3 master system for command and control functions on any battlefield. As befits its role as a command unit, it carries a primarily long-range loadout, anchored by an ER PPC and a pair of LRM-15s. For close range defense it carries only a SRM-4 and the two hard mounted Medium Lasers. An extra three pod-mounted double heat sinks help keep the mech cool.

Description

A newer configuration that uses technology from the Free Worlds League and the Draconis Combine, the D configuration is intended to act as a sniper. The primary weapon is a Light Gauss Rifle which has a range of 750 meters. For close to medium range combat, the Avatar D has two MRM-20 launchers and a pair of ER Medium Lasers in addition to the two hard-wired Medium Lasers. Finally, the D Configuration has a C3 Slave unit that allows it to work in C3 lances.

Description

Taking advantage of the wide distribution of the Avatar, ComStar (and later the Word of Blake) deployed the E configuration. Its armament consists of an ER PPC and an Ultra 10 Autocannon and an ER Medium Laser in addition to the fixed Medium Lasers, with 6 additional Heat Sinks to manage any buildup. The real showcase of the Avatar E is its C3i Computer and ECM Suite which give it exceptional coordination capability for a Level II.
