Description

The Mad Dog is a heavy Clan OmniMech used for long-range indirect fire support. With its ample firepower and decent speed of 86.4 km/h, it makes a highly mobile firing platform, and as such has spread to near ubiquity among the forces deployed by the Clans. For its fire support purposes, the Mad Dog is armed with twin shoulder-mounted LRM-20 missile racks, which allow the 'Mech to inflict heavy damage on any opponent it may target, though limited ammo is a concern. The Mad Dog is also more than capable of going on the offensive, mounting dual large and medium-sized pulse lasers, one on each arm.

Description

The Mad Dog is a heavy Clan OmniMech used for long-range indirect fire support. With its ample firepower and decent speed of 86.4 km/h, it makes a highly mobile firing platform, and as such has spread to near ubiquity among the forces deployed by the Clans. The Mad Dog A can bring devastating fire on targets at any range, mounting an ER PPC and an LB 5-X AC, with which it can easily cripple enemies from long range. Should it get close enough, its six SRM-6 racks ensure the demise of nearly any foe.

Description

With its ample firepower and decent speed of 86.4 km/h, it makes a highly mobile firing platform, and as such has spread to near ubiquity among the forces deployed by the Clans. A more general purpose configuration, the Mad Dog B mounts more laser weaponry, with two ER Large Lasers in the left arm, and three Medium Pulse Lasers in the other. For additional long-range firepower, the Mad Dog B mounts only one LRM-20 having replaced the other with two Streak SRM-6 launchers.

Description

First piloted by Russou Howell of Clan Smoke Jaguar, the Bandit is armed with a mammoth Ultra Autocannon/20 in each side torso. With only twin ER Small Lasers in each arm as supporting weapons, its pilot must make every shot of its combined total of two tons of reloads count.

Description

Description

In general, core Omnimech components remain the same from variant to variant, e.g. the engine doesn't change, the armor is the same, so on. However, in this specific case, that is different. The Mad Dog MDD-R is an attempt to mount an unbelievably massive Rail Gun onto the Mad Dog chassis. To do so, engineers had to rework the Mad Dog's basic components to accomdate the weight of the Rail Gun, reducing the mech's speed to 64 kph. The R mounts almost no backup weapons and has poor ammo endurance but the power of the Rail Gun almost makes up for it. Almost.

    Description

    Found on Sheliak after Clan Ghost Bear's defeat of that planet via American Football, this mech is a surplus unit dreamed up by a nudist-aligned gambler. With short bullet passes from the SRMs and long bombs from the LRMs, he marches his Streaker into enemy territory, balancing this aerial assault with a sustained ground attack from the lasers to punch holes in the forward wall of the enemy's defensive line. 60% of the time, it hits every time.
