Description
Just before initial contact with the Inner Sphere the Sanctuary Alliance realized they had a gap in their military, that of a line breaker heavy 'Mech, a design meant to smash through enemy forces and create openings for other more specialized Sanctuary designs to exploit and so the Alliance set to work. The Uranus was the result, a heavy 'Mech with a focus on firepower instead of speed or durability. The URN-10S is a highly dangerous direct-fire design, armed with twin Gamma Cannons to obliterate anything at range. Up close though, the -10S can only call upon two DRM-4 launchers.

The Uranus was the result, a heavy 'Mech with a focus on firepower instead of speed or durability. The URN-8S is the base design and carries twin Scattergun/10s to crack apart anything in its path. A lone VRM-18 is the sole concession to ranged combat. A fairly standard 260-rated XL engine provides power while an ECM Suite and SHIELD provide protection.

Armed with an Scattergun/20 and two Large Modal Lasers, the -8V's claim to fame is its Ferro-Vanadium armor that boosts its survivability despite the heavy armaments. A fairly standard 260-rated XL engine provides power while an ECM Suite and SHIELD provide extra protection.
