Description

Quickdraws are, traditionally, rather poor designs, often underpowered, underarmored, and overengined. However, this Quickdraw at least has teeth. While the four Medium Chem Lasers are nothing to write home about the 60 rocket tubes are, especially when 40 of them are Reloading Rockets so they can fire twice. While the heat is a little tough, a few extra heat sinks, including a rare Freezer DHS, help keep it all cool.

Description

The Quickdraw 5A was designed to give the 'Mech more endurance than the stock 4G. By removing the LRM-10, two additional Medium Lasers and four additional Heat Sinks could be mounted. Unfortunately, the 5A still runs too hot for most pilots.

Carrying the same weaponry as the 5A model, its use of seventeen double heat sinks solves the problem of excessive waste heat. Description

Technicron's replacement for the original QKD-4G model, the -5M was introduced in 3049 as a solution for the originals heat issues. By swapping the 13 standard heat sinks for double-strength versions, the Quickdraw's firepower became much more effective in longer-term firefights. Additionally, the addition of Ferro-Fibrous armor permitted the addition of CASE for the 'Mech's munitions. Overall, the -5M proved an effective and popular upgrade and slowly supplanted the -4G in most militaries.

Description

Designed to make use of both new and old technologies, the Quickdraw-6C is an experimental Capellan design. It has normal Quickdraw speed and maneuverability but is augmented by a Supercharger for good measure. It uses this boosted speed to bring a Rotary Autocannon/2 and a Binary Laser Cannon to the fight and from any angle the MechWarrior desires, making the -6C a dangerous flanker. Despite the mech's obvious capabilities, it was passed over by the CCAF and eventually found its way to the open market, where mercenaries picked up the mech in large numbers.

Description

An updated Quickdraw more to the flavor of the typical FWL military doctrine, the 6M employs a massive 360XL fusion engine propelling it to speeds usually only seen in light and medium 'Mechs. Paired Extended-Range Large Lasers make for a potent sniper, able to relocate quickly and support heavier elements. More than nine tons of Heavy Ferro-Fibrous armor and a Laser Anti-Missile System ensure the 6M has excellent battlefield endurance, and the Targeting Computer in the head ensures its firepower goes right where it's pointed.

Description

A modification of the QKD-5K, the -C simply switches a Medium Laser for a C3 slave unit to better allow the Quickdraw to link up with fellow Combine mechs in a C3 net. Otherwise, it is the same as the -5K.

Description

The 8K variant of the Quickdraw brings it up to 3062 weapons standards. The 'Mech is built using an Endo Steel chassis and is armored with eight and a half tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor. The 'Mech's arsenal has also been stripped and upgraded, carrying four ER medium lasers and an MRM-30 launcher, a compromise between the LRMs and SRMs of past models, supplied by two tons of ammunition.

Description

Supposedly based on the personal mech of Ivy Upsalom, a Succession Wars pirate also called The Ladykiller, the IV-Four boasts very rare technology for the Succession Wars, leading some to believe this is just gladiatorial embellishment at play. A pair each of AC/5s, SRM-6s, and Medium Pulse Lasers provide firepower at all ranges while an XL engine and double heat sinks keep the mech running.
